Debbie Rennick
Debbie Rennick’s expertise is in corporate finance with a focus on software, medical technology and media. She joined ACT Venture Capital in 1995 and is a graduate of University College Dublin with a degree in Civil Law. She also holds a Diploma in Professional Accounting and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
Aidan Langan
Aidan Langan is CEO of Enterprise Equity Fund Management (NI) Limited. He is a Chartered Engineer by background. Following three years developing the Industrial Development Board’s operations in the Far East, he returned to Northern Ireland in 1992 where he was responsible for a number of the IDB’s more significant inward investment projects. He has 10 years experience in the venture capital industry in Northern Ireland and joined Enterprise Equity in 2004. He sits on the Boards of a number of portfolio companies.
Drew Hofmann, Founder & Director
Drew Hofmann, a co-founder of HeartSine®, served as its President and CEO from 1996 to 2005 and is currently a Director of the Company. He is recognized worldwide for his sales and marketing credentials, with over 30 years’ of successful experience motivating medical businesses to grow and expand. Prior to founding HeartSine he served as President, CEO and Chairman of SenDx Medical, Inc., a US, “Point of Care” Diagnostics Company acquired by Radiometer Medical A/S. He has held senior level Executive and Board positions in a number of other medical companies during his career including Electronics for Medicine where he served as Executive Vice President & COO of the Corporation and President of its Cardiology Products Division, Siemens-Burdick Corporation where he served as Vice President for Sales & Marketing and Survival Technology, Inc. He has been actively involved in numerous acquisitions and several IPO’s, and in various joint venture arrangements and strategic alliances. He is currently serving as a consultant/business advisor to several medical products and venture capital companies.
Albert Sherrard OBE
In a career with Tyco International spanning almost thirty four years, Albert Sherrard held a succession of increasingly senior appointments in the Tyco Healthcare division, culminating in that of Vice President Manufacturing Europe with responsibility for seventeen plants in eight European countries.
He was created an Officer of the Order of the British Empire for services to the Healthcare Industry in Queen’s Birthday Honours List June 1996.
Since his retirement in 2004, he acts as consultant to the medical device industry in Ireland. Recently he was a member of the Investment Northern Ireland International Life Sciences Panel and in October 2006 became Chairman of BioBusiness Northern Ireland, a business association for the biotechnology and health technology sector in Northern Ireland.
