Bernard Collins, Chairman of the Board

Bernard Collins brings HeartSine® over 30 years of International General Management and Multifunctional experience. He currently holds 11 directorships on the Boards of a variety of healthcare and biomed companies.

Uel McChesney, President & Chief Executive Officer

Uel McChesney is an experienced Director and CEO who has successfully established and grown international businesses in the Defence and Marine Safety Sectors.

McChesney was formerly the CEO of the Survitec Group of companies. He stepped down in 2010 when the business was acquired by a U.S.-based Private Equity company. At that time, Survitec had been developed into a world leader in the design and manufacture of Defence Aviation Pilot Flight Equipment and Marine Safety Products, employing almost 1,500 people across 9 countries.

Prior to joining Survitec Group, McChesney held senior management positions in Medical Device, Telecommunications, and Chemical Distribution businesses.

In 2001, he was awarded an OBE for services to the Northern Ireland Economy.

Ian McRoberts, Chief Financial Officer

Ian McRoberts is a seasoned finance professional with experience in general manufacturing, engineering, and property. He joined HeartSine Technologies, Inc. in August, 2006.

Prior to joining HeartSine, McRoberts was Divisional Controller for Europe for the Enclosures Division of Sanmina Corporation, a leading electronics company headquartered in San Jose, California and listed on NASDAQ. The role encompassed control of the financial management of operations in the UK & Ireland, Scandinavia and Eastern Europe. Previously, he had been Finance Director of Bemac Engineering Limited, a Northern Ireland-based engineering company with turnover in excess of $100m, Chief Finance Officer of the Northern Irish property management operations of John Laing PLC and Chief Finance Officer of Kemira NI Limited, the Irish subsidiary of Kemira OY, a major chemical company based in Finland.

McRoberts is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.

Debbie Rennick

Debbie Rennick’s expertise is in corporate finance with a focus on software, medical technology and media. She joined ACT Venture Capital in 1995 and is a graduate of University College Dublin with a degree in Civil Law. She also holds a Diploma in Professional Accounting and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.

Aidan Langan

Aidan Langan is CEO of Enterprise Equity Fund Management (NI) Limited. He is a Chartered Engineer by background. Following three years developing the Industrial Development Board’s operations in the Far East, he returned to Northern Ireland in 1992 where he was responsible for a number of the IDB’s more significant inward investment projects. He has a 10-year experience in the venture capital industry in Northern Ireland and joined Enterprise Equity in 2004. He sits on the Boards of a number of portfolio companies.

Drew Hofmann, Founder & Director

Drew Hofmann, a co-founder of HeartSine, served as its President and CEO from 1996 to 2005 and is currently a Director of the Company. He is recognized worldwide for his sales and marketing credentials, with over 30 years of successful experience motivating medical businesses to grow and expand. Prior to founding HeartSine, he served as President, CEO and Chairman of SenDx Medical, Inc., a U.S., “Point of Care” Diagnostics Company acquired by Radiometer Medical A/S. He has held senior level Executive and Board positions in a number of other medical companies during his career including Electronics for Medicine where he served as Executive Vice President & COO of the Corporation and President of its Cardiology Products Division, Siemens-Burdick Corporation where he served as Vice President for Sales & Marketing and Survival Technology, Inc.

Hoffman has been actively involved in numerous acquisitions and several IPOs, and in various joint venture arrangements and strategic alliances. He is currently serving as a consultant/business advisor to several medical products and venture capital companies.

Albert Sherrard OBE

In a career with Tyco International spanning almost 34 years, Albert Sherrard held a succession of increasingly senior appointments in the Tyco Healthcare division, culminating in that of Vice President, Manufacturing, Europe with responsibility for 17 plants in eight European countries.

He was created an Officer of the Order of the British Empire for services to the Healthcare Industry in Queen’s Birthday Honours List, June, 1996.

Since his retirement in 2004, he acts as consultant to the medical device industry in Ireland. Recently, he was a member of the Investment Northern Ireland International Life Sciences Panel and in October 2006 became Chairman of BioBusiness Northern Ireland, a business association for the biotechnology and health technology sector in Northern Ireland.

Declan O’Mahoney

Declan O’Mahoney is an entrepreneur with extensive international experience. He recently led Firecomms, a compound semiconductor company, in the first ever acquisition of an Irish high-tech company by a Chinese corporation (ZJF Group). Previously Declan was a co-founder and president of Northstar Systems based in Silicon Valley and Taiwan, where he drove a worldwide sales and engineering team to fast growth in the computer and IT market segments. He is a board member of a number of Irish high-tech companies.
